Epic Landscapes

I’m often asked how I create paintings that look so real, they transport the viewer into another dimension. It all comes down to a handful of essential techniques, and that’s exactly what I want to share with you here.

This bundle of Landscape Painting Tutorials is packed full of tricks that will take your landscape paintings to another level!

In these presentations, I will walk you through the steps as I create not one, but three hyper-realistic landscape oil paintings. These are my most EPIC paintings to date. You’ll not only gain insights into the process from start to finish, but you’ll learn the methodology in which I create my paintings. This will be something you can adapt and mould to fit your own projects!
Painting landscapes full of light and energy is challenging! With the right guidance and information, you’ll be handling EPIC LANDSCAPES like a pro! These tutorials are not only for large projects – you can use this information for ANY landscape  painting!
Milford Sound is one of New Zealand’s most iconic and recognisable landscapes and it’s one of my favourite scenes to paint. The landscape here forms a naturally harmonious composition. a series of repeating triangular forms. What I love is the depth that’s given with the rising vapour off of the surface of the water. When clouds set in, the shafts of light pouring through are awe inspiring. What I particularly enjoyed about this piece was the foreground elements with the stones, logs, grasses and that inviting see-through water. There are so many techniques here to share with you!

This bundle features the Kimberley region of Western Australia! This scene is a view taken from the mighty King George Falls, standing on top of the falls and looking due north, down the cliff-edged gorge. Here in this painting, depth is everything! I want to walk you through how I mix colours to achieve this and apply glazes, thin layers of paint to add that atmospheric haze and push the painting into another dimension, creating a 3-dimensional illusion

Karijini National park is as unusual as it is EPIC. The landscape here is quite a challenge to capture, but it gives us a great opportunity to explore landscape painting techniques further. Here I focus on perspective, showing you how I design a landscape painting, building it from the ground up, and then honing in on minuscule details that make the painting come to life. There’s one struggle point in painting for many artists, and that’s getting colours to recede, here we achieve that not only through our use of linear perspective but strategic colour mixing as well; a POWERFUL combination!

If you ever wanted to create an AMAZING landscape painting that will BLOW VIEWERS AWAY, this is for you!
